ROCKFORD - Chicago Lindblom rallied from an eight-point third quarter deficit to knock off Guilford, 53-48, at the J-Hawk MLK Showcase.
The Vikings were coming off a 36-33 loss earlier in the day to Thornton Fractional South. The cold shooting carried over as the Eagles jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead. Guilford finally found the range behind Jack Holmstrom, who was scoreless against TFS, and Tyler Knuth. Those two combined for 19 points to help the Vikings build a 37-29 lead.
Lindblom, though, dominated the fourth quarter to drop Guilford's record to 10-9 for the season.
Phillip Taylor led Lindblom with 11 points. Holmstrom ended up with 16 and Knuth 13.
