Johnsburg tops Harlem in overtime

ROCKFORD - Johnsburg survived a Harlem rally to top the Huskies, 56-51, in overtime.

The Skyhawks carried a 40-30 lead into the fourth quarter only to see Harlem score 16 of the next 20 points. Connor Diedrich forced overtime though with two free throws.

In the extra period, Harlem's Allen White III fouled out on a charge. Without White and his team-high 17 points as a threat, Johnsburg pulled away for its only win in the J-Hawk MLK Showcase.

Travis Gibson added 13 points for Harlem. Michael Shelton led Johnsburg with 18 points and Tanner Kreassig scored 13.
