Batavia pulls away from Harlem

ROCKFORD - Allen White III kept Harlem in the game for three quarters in its J-Hawk MLK Showcase opener against Batavia, but the Bulldogs pulled away for a 61-41 victory.

White led both teams in scoring with 22 points, including scoring 10 in the third quarter. Batavia though held White scoreless in the fourth as they turned a 30-28 game at halftime into an easy victory.

Eric Peterson scored 20 for Batavia and Colin Cheaney added 15.
