Hot J-Hawks hit triple digits against Johnsburg

ROCKFORD - The host Jefferson J-Hawks got hot early and never let up, blowing Johnsburg out 103-46 in its opening game of the J-Hawk MLK Showcase.

Jefferson raced out to a 25-8 lead and pushed it to a 50-25 by halftime. The J-Hawks hit 18 three-pointers and topped their previous season high by 20 points.

Four J-Hawks hit double figures. Quillin Dixon and Sam Jones scored 18 points each, both hitting six three-pointers. My'Quion Garrett added 17 points and Montavion Zammaroni chipped in 13.

Jackson LaMarche topped Johnsburg with 13 points and Warren Nusser added 10.
