Short-handed Harlem no match for Deerfield

ROCKFORD - Deerfield's press bothered Harlem early as the Warriors raced out to a 16-6 lead in the first quarter and the Huskies never threatened after, falling 71-37.

Harlem was late to the first game on court two. Several players couldn't make it to the bus because of the slick roads and Harlem's bus got stuck trying to pick up the players who did call for a ride.

Allen White III was again the only consistent offensive threat for Harlem. White scored 17 points to lead all scorers. White has scored 61 of Harlem's 127 points in its three showcase losses.

Deerfield on the other hand had four players top 10 points. Will Murphy scored 14, Alex Casieri and Ben Bizar had 13 each and Danny Siegel added 12.

Deerfield's last game is at noon against Toledo Rogers, which knocked off Boylan in the final game of the showcase Saturday night.
