Garrett, Dixon lead J-Hawks past Chicago Vocational

ROCKFORD - Juniors My'Quion Garrett and Quillin Dixon scored 42 of Jefferson's 65 points as the J-Hawks held off Chicago Vocational, 65-59.

Jefferson raced out to a 15-6 after the first quarter and pushed the lead to 26-11 before the Cavaliers clawed their way back into the game.

Garrett though kept Vocational from taking the lead, scoring 22 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, including nine in the fourth quarter.

Nasshar Carter topped Chicago Vocational with 19 points and Quentin Coleman scored 12.
