South Elgin completes perfect MLK run

ROCKFORD - A strong second-half start powered South Elgin to a 73-65 win over Johnsburg in the final game of the J-Hawk MLK Classic for both teams.

The Storm scored the first 10 points of the second half to take a 17-point lead. The closest the Skyhawks could get was seven points in the final minute. South Elgin, which went 4-0 in the showcase, was led by Logan Atkins' 21 points. Vincent Miszkiewicz and Noah Rohr added 12 each.

Johnsburg went 1-3 over the weekend. Zach Toussaint led the Skyhawks with 23 points and Jackson LaMarche had 20.
