ROCKFORD - A couple of hours after absorbing a 57-point loss, Johnsburg bounced back against another NIC-10 foe, beating Guilford, 90-84.
Zach Toussaint led the way with 33 points after being held to two by Jefferson in the morning game. Jackson LaMarche and Mason Sobiesk added 15 each and Will Conroy chipped in 10. Solid free-throw shooting helped the SkyHawks hold on. Every time Guilford tried to build momentum, Johnsburg would halt it at the line, hitting 25 of 29 free throws.
Nick Phillips topped Guilford, which led 45-44 at halftime, with 25 points. Jack Holmstrom added 13 and Jyaire Robinson and Dorian Jones had 12 each.
